Different Types of Fabric Cutting Machines Used in Garment Production

Cutting is one of the processes in garment manufacturing. In bulk garment manufacturing, multiple fabric layers are cut at one time by a cutting machine. Different types of cnc cutting machines and equipment can be used to cut fabrics, and the machines can be used according to requirements and production capacity. Automatic cutting improve the productivity of the cutting room and improve the cutting accuracy.

1. Manual Cutting

Hand scissors are used to cut fabric layers by hand. Hand scissors are not machines, but very useful cutting equipment. The factory may have semi-automatic and full-automatic fabric cutting machines, but the use of manual scissors in the cutting part cannot be avoided. Scissors are commonly used tools in the cutting process, and hand scissors have many uses in the cutting room.

2. Semi-automatic Cutting Machine

Semi-automatic cutting, is similar to automatic cutting except that some changes to the process may be required while cutting is taking place. These processes often use electronic and magnetic tracers to follow a pattern.

3. Fully Automatic Cutting Machine

Fully Automatic cutting machines are used where high volume of garments is manufactured. This machine cuts fabric layers as per command given in computer system. Automatic cutting machine is also known as CNC machine. In the automatic cutting room, the fabric is spread on the workbench through the automatic spreader, and the cloth is placed on the cutting table before automatic cutting.
